Crest Builder unit secures RM513mil new jobs, boosting order book to RM2bil
KUALA LUMPUR: Crest Builder Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, Crest Builder Sdn Bhd (CBSB), has secured two Letters of Award (LoA) with a combined value of RM513 million.
The first, valued at RM246.4 million, covers construction of the East One SJCC development in Subang Jaya, Selangor, for Sime Darby Property (Subang) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Property Bhd.
The project comprises 926 serviced apartment units across two 36-story towers, complete with resident facilities, a mechanical floor, and a podium car park. Construction is expected to take approximately 30 months following site possession.
The second LoA, worth RM266.5 million, is from Freedom Estates Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of BRDB Developments Group, for the Miranda Hill development in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
This project involves two towers of 38 and 36 stories, housing 552 condominium units along with car parks and recreational facilities. Completion is projected within 19 months from site possession.
In a statement, Crest Builder said these wins push the group's total outstanding order book to a record RM2 billion, adding that it will underpin earnings growth over the next four years.
Group managing director Eric Yong said, "We welcome the raging Year of the Fire Horse with significant momentum, clinching these two major contracts to start the year with a bang." The East One SJCC award marks our fourth contract from Sime Darby Property, following the successful delivery of the KL East Mall, Maya Ara, and Serasi projects.
"Our enduring partnership with Sime Darby Property, one of the nation's premier developers, is a testament to our commitment to quality and ability to meet the rigorous standards of industry leaders. In addition to strengthening existing ties, we are delighted to welcome BRDB Group into our prestigious client list."
Yong added that the RM513 million in new contracts gives Crest Builder an early lead in replenishing its 2026 order book and provides a solid platform to focus on project execution and operational excellence.
"With a historic RM2 billion order book in hand, we are well positioned to optimize our resources and ensure the timely delivery of all our ongoing developments," Yong said.
